The Introduction:

After growing up a mere 10 minutes from each other in Dallas, Becca and Ross never met until their freshman year at The University of Texas at Austin. During the second week of classes, the two attended a “mixer” (party for pledges) between his fraternity (Sigma Alpha Mu) and her sorority (Delta Gamma).

While they disagree on how they were introduced, both know they danced the night away and it’s been history ever since!

Three months later and after some prompting from his pledge brothers, Ross finally asked Becca to “be official” in late November and the two have spent a wonderful five years together ever since.

After graduating from UT in May of 2013, the lovebirds remain in Austin with their puppy Annie.

Our Story

The Proposal:

The night of September 20th, Ross promised a romantic date night at an iconic Austin spot – the 360 Bridge Overlook. While Ross kept the whole night a surprise, Becca had a sneaking suspicion what he was up to.

Despite having a low grade fever, Becca made the trek to the top of the overlook in her nice dress with a promise of wine and cheese when they reached to top. Unfortunately, Ross in his nervousness forgot the corkscrew and crackers. Instead, he got down on one knee and asked Becca to spend the rest of their lives together.

While Becca knew he was going to pop the question, she was totally surprised when Katie, Caroline, Alex, Abbey, Ashley, Maggie and Ellis (now members of the wedding party and several whom Becca hadn’t seen in almost a year) popped out of the bushes with cameras, tissues and champagne to start the evening’s celebrations.

After taking hundreds of photos at the overlook, the party migrated to Maudie’s for Mexican food and margaritas to celebrate with families and more friends. All in all, the two managed to celebrate for nearly 24 hours making it a day to never forget!
